Does God Punish Us?

Does God Punish Us?

According to some theologies God would never punish you for wrong doing. I beg to differ, my God chastises the ones he loves. If you are in error you should rejoice in the trials because in them you are made stronger in them. God needs us to walk in truth not error. If a child puts his hand in the fire it will get burned. You can warn that child they will stick their hand in and get burned anyway. We kick our own butts.

God allows us to have free will if we walk in our own ways we kick our own butts. God created us to have parents to lead and guide us Did your parents punish you? Did they spank you?

Proverbs 13:24
He that spareth his rod hateth his son: but he that loveth him chasteneth him betimes.

That’s in old testament because he’s the same today is he was yesterday.

Hebrews 12:6,”For whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth, and scourgeth every son whom he receiveth.” …

This is the new testament because he’s the same today, as he was yesterday.

Hebrews 13:8 Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.

Consider it pure joy, my brothers, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith develops perseverance” (James 1:2-3). This may seem difficult — but I urge you to commit your problems to God and ask Him to help you grow spiritually stronger through them.

Call To Repent The Day Of The Lord Is Here. Not Near It’s Here!

The book of Joel describes terrible locust plague as judgement of God. In 2020, locusts have swarmed in large numbers in dozens of countries, including Kenya, Ethiopia, Uganda, Somalia, Eritrea, India, Pakistan, Iran, Yemen, Oman and Saudi Arabia. When swarms affect several countries at once in very large numbers, it is known as a plague.

Desert locusts, or Schistocerca gregaria, have often been called the world’s most devastating pest, and for good reason. Swarms form when locusts’ numbers increase and they become crowded. This causes a switch from a relatively harmless solitary phase, to a gregarious, sociable phase. In this phase, the insects are able to multiply 20-fold in three months and reach densities of 80 million per square kilometre. Each can consume 2g of vegetation every day – combined, a swarm of 80 million can consume food equivalent to that eaten by 35,000 people a day.

The locust invasion that swept over farms in rural Kenya from December 2019 has left farmers like Ndavu not only counting crop losses, but struggling with emerging environmental and health problems. The swarms have been the worst seen in Kenya for 70 years, and experts are concerned that swarms later in the year will be even larger.

In the Bible, God afflicts ancient Egyptians with ten plagues for their sins. One of them was the plague of locusts. Of the ten plagues, the eighth one was that of locusts. Moses warned the Pharaoh that God will send so many locusts that they will “cover each and every tree of the land and eat all that is there to be eaten”. Every time the Pharaoh refused, a fresh plague was inflicted upon his kingdom.

The other plagues were equally scary: The river Nile’s waters turning into blood, frogs, lice, flies, mass livestock die-offs, boils, hailstorm and fire, darkness for three days and finally, the death of every firstborn, human or animal, in ancient Egypt.

If we look closely, some eerie examples begin to emerge that reflect a crisis of Biblical proportion! Let me explain. There are the locusts, of course. Interestingly, their route into India has been via Africa. They have travelled with the winds from East Africa over the Red Sea (whose waters Moses parted) to the Arabian Peninsula; and from there over Iran into Afghanistan, Pakistan and India.

Like the river Nile’s waters turning red, the waters of two of the Ecuadorian Amazon’s most important rivers has turned black after two pipelines carrying crude oil burst. This has caused grave hardship to the indigenous people, who are already on a fire-fighting mode due to the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19).

Ah…yes, how could we forget COVID-19. Just like the pandemic, one of the plagues that afflicted the ancient Egyptians mentioned people developing boils all over their bodies. And then, there was the plague of mass die-offs. The COVID-19 disease has also spread misery and death across the globe. Even the animals including tigers, dogs and cats are threatened by it.

There was also the plague of hailstorm and fire. The world in 2020 has already seen the fires of Australia and the Amazon in 2019. This year, it has seen the cyclone Amphan, which has devastated large parts of India and Bangladesh.

As for the three days of darkness, similar scenes were seen recently in the Sahara Desert in Africa. Niamey, the capital of Niger, turned red recently. Why? Because it is the Harmattan season when dry winds blowing across the Sahara pick up sand and leave behind deposits (of sand) across regions falling on their path. It may be seasonal, but the photographs that emerged from Niamey were nothing short of apocalyptic.

You Shall Rest

This morning exhausted from working three jobs not having my day of rest I’m feeling drained. My devotional started with trust in the Lord with all those heart, lean not on thine own understanding, in all your ways aknowledge him and he will direct your path. In the morning I use three apps for Bible study and then I read the Proverb of the day for wisdom. The second app I opened was on entering into God’s rest. This devotion started with on the 6th day you shall work on the 7th you shall rest. I immediately looked up the definition for the word shall. It means -expressing a strong assertion or intention. God puts a string emphasis on the just one day of rest. God himself rested on the 7th day.

Genesis 2:2-4

2 And on the seventh day God ended his work which he had made; and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made.

3 And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: because that in it he had rested from all his work which God created and made.

Yesterday morning I was barely able to listen to my church online because I had to be in at 11:30am. The little bit I did listen to filled me with joy. It was noticable and my coworkers said you’re in a good mood. As they grumbled and looked like sour pusses because they don’t have what I have. By the end of the day everyone was cranky. Weekends are busiest so that would be understandable. But I was seeing it was much deeper than that. Managers put in extra long days and are the crankiest of them all. The manager on call snipped at me for no reason. Then I saw him inside snipping at his girlfriend because she didn’t do something right. I said I think you’re working too much His eyes softened as knew I identified where his attitude came from. I realized by the end of the day I was feeling cranky too. The environment really gets to you. And I believe the lack of rest does too. I’m needing to give my two weeks notice and trust God to build my business I make in one hour what I do in 7 hours at this job. God has to come first in order for anything to fall in place.

I started reading these two articles that did deeper studies on the rest of God. And I’m adding the link to First 15 another app that the message was based on the rest of God.

Come Out Of Her My People!

And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues.Revelation 18:4

What is she or her?God wants His people to escape from this evil system and the punishments it is bringing on itself. This call to come out of her echoes earlier prophetic warnings by Isaiah (52:11) and Jeremiah (51:45).

Paul expands on this theme to apply to all Christians of all ages: “Come out from among them and be separate says the Lord. Do not touch what is unclean, and I will receive you” (2 Corinthians 6:17).

God’s people must not compromise with sin and temptation, even when we must live in “the world.” As Jesus prayed before His crucifixion, “I do not pray that You should take them out of the world, but that You should keep them from the evil one. They are not of the world, just as I am not of the world” (John 17:15-16).

But the time is coming when God’s people will be literally called out of this Babylonish system. For more about these end-time events leading to the return of Jesus Christ, see “End-Time Prophecy.”

MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND OF THE ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH” (Revelation 17:3, 5).

To understand this Babylon, we must first understand the symbolic language being used in the book of Revelation. What is represented by a “woman,” a “beast,” “seven heads and ten horns,” and “Babylon the Great”?

There have been different ideas and opinions about this Babylon, in large part because men have read their own interpretations into these symbols. This usually results in false conclusions.

What does a woman symbolize in the Bible?
It is important to understand that when the Bible uses symbolic language, the Bible interprets its symbols for us. We do not have to guess at the meaning.

For example, when a woman is used symbolically in Scripture, she represents a church—a group of people. Paul uses the symbol of “a chaste virgin” for the Church that will be presented to Christ (2 Corinthians 11:2), and Christ refers to His bride in Revelation as a wife or woman (Revelation 19:7).

This immoral woman, called Babylon the Great, is an apostate church that has been responsible for the martyrdom of many true followers of Jesus Christ. The woman in Revelation 17 is a church, but not the Church that was established by Jesus Christ. Notice what this church does to those who obey God and follow Jesus Christ: “And I saw the woman, drunk with the blood of the saints and with the blood of the martyrs of Jesus. And when I saw her, I marveled with great amazement” (Revelation 17:6).

This immoral woman, called Babylon the Great, is an apostate church that has been responsible for the martyrdom of many true followers of Jesus Christ.

The identity of Mystery, Babylon the Great
The Bible identifies this woman clothed in purple and scarlet and sitting on a scarlet beast in the last verse of chapter 17, “And the woman whom you saw is that great city which reigns over the kings of the earth” (verse 18).

At the time John wrote this verse, and in the centuries that followed, the city that reigned over the kings of the earth was Rome. And the church associated with Rome is the Roman Catholic Church, which is headquartered in Vatican City in Rome.

I personally believe our medical.systems are a part of the babylonian system as well as the church. They end up being a church where people are going for healing. The doctor replaces the Priest and their practices replace what the Bible says to use for healing. What does the bible say is the biblical way of healing?

O LORD, you alone can heal me; you alone can save. My praises are for you alone! Jeremiah 17:14

I will give you back your health and heal your wounds, says the LORD . Jeremiah 30:17

Jesus called his twelve disciples to him and gave them authority to cast out evil spirits and to heal every kind of disease and illness. Matthew 10:1

We are to go to elders of the church not doctors replacing our elders. James 5:16
16 Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.

Are we seeing any confession taking place going to a doctor? Or anointing with oil? It’s a system designed keeping you from being healed God’s way.

Ephesians 5:14″Wherefore he saith, Awake thou that sleepest, and arise from the dead, and Christ shall give thee light.” .

Pharmaceutical puts a slumbering spirit through its occultic power. When we come alive in Christ walking in his will and ways we come to life. Out of darkness and it’s systems.

Read the Bible it will breath life into your soul.

This is something very informative for you too. https://www.slideshare.net/mobile/RivinduWickramanayake/babylonian-history-of-medicine-rivin

George Floyd Didn’t Die

Many will hate me for sharing this but it’s true they staged his death and it’s all a farce.

This is what showed me it was no conspiracy theory this was a staged death.

They work on his photo to make him look more like the actor there at staging if Floyd’s death

As soon as I saw the picture of officer arrested I knew something was off. Did further investigation. It’s hard to find what was out there they gave gotten rid of many pictures and videos. This should be enough proof Comment below.

Rebellious People Are Angry

Have you ever noticed people in habitual.sin are extremely angry? Alcoholics rage to get their way.

Proverbs 20:1 Wine is a mocker, strong drink is raging: and whosoever is deceived thereby is not wise.

Anyone in addiction would be considered to be someone in transgression or iniquity.  They are habitual users their repeaditive behaviors cause insanity. And eventually God’s covering comes off of them. God doesn’t bless sin. Sin is missing God his will and way. There comes a point God removes his covering turning them over to their wicked ways. It gets extremely hard for them to live in their sin. They have to lie beg steal and sell themselves to be able to afford their wicked ways.

It causes them to be angry because they are so much in agreement with their sin they don’t want to part with it. Their bodies mind and spirit are damaged causing them to die in every way too. Body falls apart with diabetes reoccurring accidents and the like. Their spirit man will not be able to hear from God or be convicted of sin. Their soul will be polluted with demons controlling their emotions.

To deliver such an one unto Satan for the destruction of the flesh, that the spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord Jesus.
1 Corinthians 5:5

This is the final stage they are turned over tormenters for the sake of their soul. God lets the rebellious one feel what it’s like to be separated from him for eternity. Terrified by demons day and night. The amount of earthly fears they have becomes so overwhelming they try to escape with more drugs alcohol sex or over eating. All addictions cause coming out of allotment with God’s will. It’s a very scary place to be.

5 Websites To Help Educate About The Horrors of The Holocaust

https://www.pri.org/stories/2021-01-27/5-websites-help-educate-about-horrors-holocaust

Information about the Holocaust may be easy to find online, but the best sites offer artifacts and authentic accounts from people who survived the experience, a Holocaust scholar argues.

Whenever there’s an analysis or discussion about how much people know about the Holocaust, the focus is often on what they don’t know.

For instance, a 2018 survey of 1,350 people age 18 and older found that 11% of US adults and 22% of millennials had not heard of — or were not sure if they had heard of — the Holocaust.

Almost half of US adults — 45%  — and millennials — 49% — could not name one concentration camp or ghetto that was established in Europe during the Holocaust, the survey found.

The survey also showed how there’s an overwhelming lack of personal connections to the Holocaust. Most Americans — 80% — had never visited a Holocaust museum and two-thirds — 66% — did not know, or know of, a Holocaust survivor. A significant majority of American adults believed that fewer people care about the Holocaust today than before.

As troublesome as these statistics may be in terms of what they show about how little people know about the Holocaust, there’s another aspect to Holocaust knowledge that often goes overlooked.

And that is, at a time when the Holocaust has “taken on a virtual dimension” and images from the horrific era are prevalent online, there is now a risk of what author Gavriel Rosenberg refers to as the “normalization” of the Nazi past in contemporary culture.

Desensitization

As the number of Holocaust survivors continues to dwindle, today’s students may be more apt to find a Hitler meme online before they discover testimonies of Holocaust survivors.

Rosenberg argues that this normalization of the Holocaust will downplay its horrific nature. In some cases, people have seemingly taken to celebrating the Holocaust. For instance, at the Jan. 6 attack on the US Capitol, one participant wore a “Camp Auschwitz” hoodie — a macabre acknowledgment of the most infamous of the Nazi concentration and death camps.

At a December 2020 protest in Washington, DC, against the election of then-President-elect Joe Biden, a member of the Proud Boys — a pro-Trump organization designated as a hate group by the Southern Poverty Law Center — wore a shirt emblazoned with “6MWE.” The slogan stands for “6 million wasn’t enough,” in reference to the 6 million Jews who were killed in the Holocaust.

Making history accessible

Since the COVID-19 pandemic swept across the globe in early 2020, teachers have adapted instruction to make use of existing and emerging technologies. In line with the purpose of International Holocaust Remembrance Day on Jan. 27, digital tools are offering educators new innovative ways to engage with Holocaust history

The internet has made survivor testimonies easily accessible. Social media platforms have made learning about the Holocaust easier for younger people.

A popular Instagram account appeared in 2019 that features excerpts from the journal of Eva Heyman, a 14-year-old girl from Poland who was murdered in a death camp.

In recent years, virtual reality been used as a tool for Holocaust education and memorialization. For instance, the University of Southern California’s USC Shoah Foundation has launched a project to develop interactive holograms of Holocaust survivors. The first time the exhibit was displayed publicly was at The Illinois Holocaust Museum and Education Center in 2015.

Criticisms from scholars

However, some scholars challenge the use of virtual reality when it comes to the Holocaust. One concern is the risk that people who go through a virtual reality simulation will incorrectly feel that they now know what the historical event itself was like, thereby trivializing it.

I myself am leading an interdisciplinary team at Rowan University in New Jersey to develop a virtual reality teaching tool about the Warsaw Ghetto, the largest ghetto established by the Nazis during the Holocaust — holding more than 400,000 Jews within an area of 1.3 square miles, with an average of 7.2 persons per room.

This project, still in its pilot stage, uses primary-source documents and photographs from the Oneg Shabbat Archive to recreate spaces within the ghetto. Users will be able to explore re-created spaces, examine primary sources, ask questions about photographs and explore a variety of themes.

To better develop The Warsaw Ghetto Teaching and Learning Project, and as author of a chapter in a forthcoming book, “Teaching and Learning Through the Holocaust,” I have examined many digital tools that can be used to teach about the Holocaust, especially in middle and high schools.

Here are five websites that I consider to be the most interesting.

1. The life of Bebe Epstein

This first foray into digital education from YIVO, The Institute for Jewish Research, tells the life story of one young girl, who was born in Vilna, Poland, from before the Holocaust through her immigration to the United States. A staggering amount of information can be found in this digital tool, which consists of 10 self-guided “chapters” containing the story of Bebe Epstein, artifacts and maps.

2. ‘History unfolded’: US newspapers and the Holocaust

The United States Holocaust Memorial Museum has a number of excellent online exhibits that can be used for teaching and learning, but “History Unfolded” fills a gap: This website aims to show what Americans knew about the Holocaust, and when they knew it, by using articles from US newspapers published during the 1930s and 1940s. Users can explore by event.

For example, they can search for Kristallnacht, a series of violent massacres carried out against Jews in Germany, often referred to as the “Night of Broken Glass.” Or they can search for information about the USS St. Louis, a ship that brought 900 Jews to Cuba and then the United States, where they were turned away. Upon being returned to Europe, almost all aboard were murdered in death camps. Visitors can also search their local newspapers from the period.

3. In Mrs. Goldberg’s Kitchen

This augmented reality experience is a part of a larger project about Lodz, Poland, during the period between World War I and World War II, created by Halina Goldberg, a musicology professor at Indiana University Bloomington. This interactive exhibit allows users to explore space in the Jewish Quarter of prewar Lodz, understanding what daily life was like for so many Jews before they were displaced and murdered during the Holocaust.

4. Anne Frank House: The Secret Annex

Anne Frank’s diary is one of the best-known primary sources to have survived the Holocaust. The annex where Anne and her family hid during the war still exists in the Netherlands and is a popular site for tourists. For those who are unable to visit the site — and for everyone during the COVID-19 pandemic — the augmented-reality site created by the Anne Frank Museum is an impressive alternative. Users are able to explore the space, examine documents and look at photos.

5. Virtual Tour of the Auschwitz Memorial

Auschwitz is the best-known concentration camp built with the express purpose of murdering Jews and other victims of the Holocaust. While the memorial and museum remain closed because of COVID-19, the virtual tour presents what the memorial website describes as “authentic sites and buildings of the former German Nazi concentration and extermination camp, complete with historical descriptions, dozens of witness accounts, archival documents and photographs, artworks created by the prisoners, and objects related to the history of the camp.” Each location allows users to access additional information, view primary sources, and listen to survivor testimony.

Protection That Comes From God His Hedge Around You

Job 1:10 “Have you not put a hedge of protection around him and his household and everything he has? You have blessed the work of his hands, so that his flocks and herds are spread throughout the land.”

What is this hedge?

KJV Dictionary Definition: hedge

hedge

HEDGE, n. hej. Eng. haw Properly, a thicket of thorn-bushes or other shrubs or small trees; but appropriately, such a thicket planted round a field to fence it, or in rows, to separate the parts of a garden.

Hedge, prefixed to another word, or in composition, denotes something mean, as a hedge-priest, a hedge-press, a hedge-vicar, that is, born in or belonging to the hedges or woods, low, outlandish. Not used in American.

hedging

HEDG’ING, ppr. Inclosing with a hedge; obstructing; confining.

The Holy Bible can figuratively and literally build a wall around us. God created the Earth with his words. He said let there be light and there was light. When we read the Bible study it learn God’s ways over the ways of the world we begin to encounter him. We are abiding in his kingdom and not leaning on our own understanding. It begins to build our faith. As we increase in knowledge we gain confidence and trust God to protect us from our enemies. God becomes a fortress and puts up protection from schemes of our enemies. God never acts on our circumstances he acts on our faith. Faith comes from hearing and heating from the word of God.

In actuality the word of God becomes a sheilld or hedge about us that the enemy can not get past. We are protected from accidents and all sorts of daily calamities.

The more we speak the word it becomes a reality more than the darkness around us it sheds light. It brings us into the Kingdom realm not of flesh but of the spirit of God.

The Lord in our obedience to his word acts accordingly. Putting Angels around us with flaming swords to do battle against our enemies.
