Ever Wonder Why God Isn’t Hearing Your Prayers?

Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. John 14:6

You can’t go to the Father in prayer without connecting to Yeshua(Jesus).

One of the titles of Jesus was the Word of God. In John’s gospel we read.

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God (John 1:1).

John also wrote.

The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth (John 1:14).

In the Book of Revelation it says.

He is dressed in a robe dipped in blood, and his name is the Word of God (Revelation 19:13).

This Term Is Not Defined

Although there is no explanation given in Scripture as to why Jesus is called the Word of God there have been several suggested reasons.

It May Refer To Wisdom Personified

It has been argued that Jesus is the personification of wisdom as is described in Proverbs 5-8. This section begins by saying.

My son, pay attention to my wisdom, listen well to my words of insight (Proverbs 5:1).

The Word Is God’s Communication To Humanity

It is possible that the term “word” is used the same manner as does the Old Testament – the communication of God to humanity. This is exactly what Jesus did – He revealed to the world the Word of God. Jesus was the personification of the written and spoken Word. In the Old Testament God revealed His word through the prophets while in the New Testament the word of God was revealed in a Person – God the Son.

Summary

Jesus is called, “the Word of God.” Although Scripture does not define what is meant by that term it could refer to the fact that He is the personification of the written and spoken word. The testimony that God revealed through the prophets during the Old Testament period was now made human with the coming of Christ. Hence the Word became flesh.

Out of Your Belly Shall Flow Living Waters. What’s in your gut?

Connecting your gut to your spiritual walk with God seems to be hooky, but this scripture makes it clear there’s a connection : John 7:38 He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water

I’ve experienced my most intimate times with the Lord during a fast. My thoughts were very clear. It was almost as if there was nothing blocking my belly for his living waters to flow through.

We’ve all had times after eating something great discomfort in our tummy. Is that a warning don’t eat that again? There have been sleepness night with an upset tummy. Was what I put in bad for me spiritually too?

The Bible is called bread of life. Bread is a natural substance used as food. The analogy of being fed by the Bible is strongly significant here. I remember as a young Christian having so much anxiety not knowing what to do. Then one day the Lord convicted me I was running out the door with no fuel. I didn’t eat breakfast so I’d burn out really early in the day because my body had no fuel. And I wasn’t meditating on the word of God to feed my spirit man so I’d be burnt out spiritually too. So after I got this revelation from God I would feed my spirit and my body before even starting the day. If ever I felt a little anxious I’d sit down open my Bible and partake in the spiritual food that gave me peace. It gave me clarity too. I had times where I had so much responsibility and didn’t know what to start. After sitting down with the word I had clear direction. Start the laundry first then put away the clean dishes make my phone calls. Order was being established in my life.

There are so many connections in the Bible with food besides it being called the bread of life. Taking communion is using a physical representation of bread being the body of Christ and wine being his blood. Taking it in remembrance not only reminds of us his sacrifice but the antioxidants in the wine to clean the blood the bread to not do it on an empty stomach.

There are references if a brother be weak in his flesh with infirmity and eat just vegetables we should not judge him.
Romans 14 3 Let not him that eateth despise him that eateth not; and let not him which eateth not judge him that eateth: for God hath received him.

There’s wisdom in abstaining from food if you are dealing with any type of infirmity. Giving the gut a break from food gives you time to get your gut back in order without putting digestive stress on it. When you abstain from food it allows the gut time to heal. Then it processes better.

When you do a cleanse you clean out anything that might be blocking you spiritually too.

Just some food for thought for you.

Why Reading the Holy Bible is So Important!

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

John 1:1

John-1-14a

John 14:6-12

6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
7 If ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also: and from henceforth ye know him, and have seen him.
8 Philip saith unto him, Lord, show us the Father, and it sufficeth us.
9 Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? he that hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou then, Show us the Father?
10 Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? the words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself: but the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works.
11 Believe me that I am in the Father, and the Father in me: or else believe me for the very works’ sake.
12 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.

After reading this you see that unless you read the word of God you will not have access to God in your prayers or to heaven. The word says the only way to the Father is through the son the word John 1:1 states that the son is the word of God. This is saying the only way is through Jesus/Yeshua by abiding in his word and being covered by his blood. Open your bible the red letters are the blood of Jesus/Yeshua flowing through the pages. To be covered by the blood you must be in the word of God, his blood will flow through the pages to cover you.

John 15:7

7 If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you[a] will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you.

2 Timothy 3:16-17

16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:
17 That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.

2-timothy-3-16-kjv

Without correction from the word of God sin will get strong on our lives. It will become a stronghold and turn into iniquity. This is why Jesus/Yeshua says.

Matthew 7:21-23

21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.
22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?
23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.
