In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
John 1:1
John 14:6-12
6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
7 If ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also: and from henceforth ye know him, and have seen him.
8 Philip saith unto him, Lord, show us the Father, and it sufficeth us.
9 Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? he that hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou then, Show us the Father?
10 Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? the words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself: but the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works.
11 Believe me that I am in the Father, and the Father in me: or else believe me for the very works’ sake.
12 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.
After reading this you see that unless you read the word of God you will not have access to God in your prayers or to heaven. The word says the only way to the Father is through the son the word John 1:1 states that the son is the word of God. This is saying the only way is through Jesus/Yeshua by abiding in his word and being covered by his blood. Open your bible the red letters are the blood of Jesus/Yeshua flowing through the pages. To be covered by the blood you must be in the word of God, his blood will flow through the pages to cover you.
John 15:77 If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you[a] will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you.
2 Timothy 3:16-17
16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:
17 That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.
Without correction from the word of God sin will get strong on our lives. It will become a stronghold and turn into iniquity. This is why Jesus/Yeshua says.
Matthew 7:21-23
21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.
22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?
23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.
