Who’s doing the gossiping? Just about anyone that doesn’t catch themselves doing it.

I overheard a Pastor’s wife complaining about a girl that was in the church nursery. It was after bible study we all were talking in little groups. She was not too far away and her tone and the stuff coming out of her made the room so uncomfortable.

She had no idea what she was doing. When you do this it opens doors for evil to mount up larger than what you’ve already complained about. We give power to the devil not only in our lives for allowing angry words about another but by passing judgement on another.

Romans 2

2 Therefore thou art inexcusable, O man, whosoever thou art that judgest: for wherein thou judgest another, thou condemnest thyself; for thou that judgest doest the same things.

² But we are sure that the judgment of God is according to truth against them which commit such things.
³ And thinkest thou this, O man, that judgest them which do such things, and doest the same, that thou shalt escape the judgment of God?

How many of us are guilty of doing this? Complaining about is gossip.

There’s nothing productive coming from talking negatively about another.

We are to go to the person directly or take another person with us to resolved conflict. Not try yo form a lynch mob of people to agree with you.

When you gossip you are confessing another persons sins for them. Wouldn’t that be better for them to do? They answer for themselves not you.

Most gossips are jealous using negative information to defame your character. Think about it the things they tell others about you, would they ever share about themselves?
